Beauty of Creation

Hakea flowers Christine took some lovely photos of spring's new growth during Sukkot and they were just too pretty not to share.  The beauty of Yehovah's creation never ceases to inspire, restore and rejuvenate. Lavender It's lovely to walk around now and see the bushes of a decent size and flowering.  I must do a blog with before/after shorts to remind us of how far everything has come. Pigface Pinenut tree We planted about 20 tiny pinenut trees during our first year with the hope that in seven years we'll have our first crop of pinenuts.  Unfortunately the goats couldn't wait that long and made short work of them.  However, we have five left and and despite all odds they are doing well.  It takes seven or so years for them to have their first cones so I'm hoping that will be next year. Succulents Today I sprayed weed killer around each caper plant so that they've got a fighting chance of survival.  I was encouraged to see that a fe

Sukkot Week Photos

Christina took some great photos and here's a small selection.  Kosher marshmellows always an essential ingredient of a great bonfire. This bonfire was so large we had a courtesy visit from the local CFS :) Aerial shot by Brendan from the top of the ute.  Trevor and Yohanan taking the motorbike through its paces. Duet by Yakira and Makedee Carol and the kids praising. Cousins Yohanan and Riley  Yohanan taking care of business. We enjoyed beautiful starry nights and it's not difficult to recall the promise of Yehovah to Abraham with these vistas.

Sukkot - 8th Day

So the festival season is over for another year and what a blessing it has been.  The Great 8th Day was celebrated by those who could be at Hebron with shofar blasts, praises and fellowship.  We also shared around the Word and explored the purpose of the 8th Day and how it testifies of the millennial reign of Yeshua and the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh, bringing righteousness, healing and restoration.  And we say "Maranatha!"  Some of us enjoying the sukkah one morning.  The day before Sukkot we sent off three of our sheep to be slaughtered and dressed.  They were all in good nick and we were very pleased with the quality of the cuts. Here's Christine having a bit of a laugh with the Lion and the lamb :) Part of Hebron's purpose is to be a provision of meat, vegetables and fruit for ourselves and eventually for others in need as we become more fruitful.  At the moment we are able to keep ourselves supplied with lamb but we are slowing working

Sukkot 2

We've had a busy sukkot week up here at Hebron with visitors coming and going, fellowship and chores, so an afternoon picnic and games by the bottom dam was very welcome.  Two little pink girls squealing with delight as they ride down the hill.  Brendan taking Christina for a 'romantic' ride.  A game of cricket for the 'kids'.  The child safety fence coming along with new gates in place. What a blessing Hebron is in celebrating Sukkot.  We have been discussing and studying Galatians this week and enjoying delving into the truths that Yeshua brings.  Hallelu-Yah!  The Spirit and the bride same "Come"! Still a few days left of Sukkot and we'll be having an 8th Day celebration on Monday so feel free to wander up and join us as we sing, shout, wave banners and blow the shofar. Shalom

Sukkot

A few photos and quick updates for everyone to participate in our activities this week at Hebron. We had a fantastic time of rejoicing, celebration, branch waving and shofar blowing on the First Day of Sukkot.   The kids lend a helping hand via the tractor bucket to decorate the sukkah with branches.  Festive flags  Guys building a child safety fence for the kids  Sharing a meal with fellow Hebronites and visitors A blazing bonfire at our sukkah and an impromptu concert thanks to Neal and Yakira May Yehovah's blessings and shalom cover everyone during this special week of Sukkot.   I will post more photos and updates as the week progress. Shalom
