Sing to YHVH a new song!

Sing to YHVH a new song His praise in the assembly of the kedoshim.  Let Israel rejoice in its Maker Let the children of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise his name with dancing. Let them sing praises to him with tambourines and harp.  For YHVH takes pleasure in His people.  He crowns the humble with salvation.  Let the kedoshim exult in glory. Let them sing for joy on their beds.  Let  Elohim's high praises be in their mouth  and a two-edged sword in their hand to execute vengeance upon the nations and rebukes on the peoples,  to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to carry out the sentence decreed -  This is the honour of all His kedoshim. HALLELU YAH!

Seeking the Fire

I want to be self-indulgent tonight and write of my own longings and prayers, which have been with me since a very young child.  There are times when the Ruach stirs those latent embers in my heart again and tonight is one of them. I have sincerely prayed for revival for our nation and loved ones since primary school in Tasmania.  Joining in with the church's prayer and fasting roster, half nights of prayer and camp meetings was a real delight and I often experienced the weight of YHVH's presence.  These were moments that have held me fast to Him my entire life. As I was washing tonight's dishes the thought "don't throw out the baby with the bathwater" zinged in my spirit and it was related to the thought of the Christian concept of revival.  As we have been led out of Christianity and embracing the fullness of His torah there are many doctrines and concepts that I have put aside.  The trinity, rapture, communion and celebrations have all been scrutinised

Countdown to Shavuot

We've been meeting together virtually for a month now and we're slowly getting the hang of it, although I'm not sure how much shabbating Brendan is getting to do while we're Zooming!  But as handy as online meetings are nothing can beat being with everyone in person.   In a few weeks we'll be convocating for Shavuot.  It would be great if the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted by then and we can celebrate together.   The guys have been putting in the hours landscaping the front of the house so by the time we're able to get together up here at Hebron it will be looking fantastic.   Don Pedro, Pablo and Romeo the lonely ram are enjoying the first green pasture for the season.  We'll be on the lookout for a few ewes to keep him company soon now that the rains have come.   The blessing of rain in season is always a wonderful reminder that YHVH, the Maker of heaven and earth, is our provision, our joy and strength!

Passover 2020 and the Plagues

2020 has been a kicker so far: drought, bushfires and now a global pandemic.  Anyone would think it was the beginning of the end.... It's certainly been an opportunity for our Father to refine us and prepare us for what lies ahead, just like a good Father should.  We were unable to gather together at Hebron this year for the Passover meal because of the social isolation restrictions but we did gather online for a time.  In a few months we will be able to get together again here at Hebron and enjoy each other's company and the property.  The rains are coming so the dams will replenish, the paddocks will be green and everything will be fresh again.  The house will be filled with chatter, laughter and the sound of board games being won or lost.  I am so blessed to be able to see the transitions of seasons and experience the harsh realities of the weather.  The ferocious winds, heat, dust, weeds and flies can at times seem overwhelming but it only takes the amazing super moon

YHVH Ro-eh, My Shepherd

Psalm 23 YHVH  Ro-eh 1 A psalm of David.  YHVH  is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your staff comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of  YHVH  forever. And may our Father, who cares for you and rejoices over you, be with you to protect, encourage and strengthen you.  We rise up together and bless Him! Shabbat Shalom

Solitude and Shalom

2020 has brought us reminders that man is not in control of  time, circumstance or creation.  YHVH is humanity's Abba Father, whether they recognise Him or not, and the Word that He has given us is living and a light to guide, encourage and draw us back to Himself.   This is why we don't fear or worry when fires, floods or disease sweep across our world.  Concerned and cautious, yes, but fearful and anxious, no.  He is our Rock and the people He has placed us with as family and community is a source of encouragement and sustenance.   The government is currently restricting gatherings due to the COVID-19 concerns so we are prevented from gathering at Shekem or Hebron at the moment.  Much can be said about that but probably for another time.   There has been quite a bit happening at Hebron so I have resurrected the Hebron Herald to keep you up to date.  The gates are always open and the homestead always available so if you want to head up for a day, or a couple of days,

Sons of Zadok

Human nature has not changed since the Garden.   Technology has, culture has but human nature has not.   The enemy of our souls has not changed.   His devices have, his tools have but his goal and desire have not.    Our Creator and Father has not changed.   His nature has not changed, His plan and timeline have not changed and most importantly, His Word has not changed.   If for no other reason, this should cause us to live a life that is devoted to unending worship, love and obedience to Him.   But we are susceptible to our own carnality and satan’s temptations, even when that leads to our destruction and loss of reward.   As children of Elohim, sojourners   on the Way, we are priests set apart to fellowship with and minister to Him, but also each other.   (I Peter 2:9)   And here’s the clincher, as musicians is our primary focus on Him or each other? During the Babylonian exile Ezekiel was shown the third temple in minute detail.   Ezekiel 44 deals with who may and who m
