Sukkot 2024

The Healing to the Nations fellowship came together to celebrate Sukkot here at Hebron and what a blessed time it was. It seems that since Sukkot life and work got crazy busy so an update on our time together slipped off the priority list.  But as I reflect back on our time together and what has transpired since then I am again encouraged. There was a flurry of preparation in the meeting room and sukkah, and Hebron was ready for a big week of fellowship, praise and times with our King and Adonai.  Although there was one big disappointment because I could not locate the flags that we line the driveway with.  Colourful flags will definitely make an appearance for Sukkot 2025 though. Not everyone was able to come up at Sukkot and they were missed but there is always next year.  Father Yehovah's wisdom in establishing the annual feasts is such a powerful prophetic witness and joy for Messiah's body. The highlight of Sukkot is always spending time under the sukkah in the ...

Sukkot in the Adelaide Hills

With the autumn feasts upon us I was reflecting on Sukkot last year and how the year since has been full of YHVH's blessings and encouragements.   The HTTN community purchased the property nearly 19 years ago and we have worked hard to develop it.  There is still much to be done so that it can facilitate the purposes that YHVH wants for it but He has proven Himself faithful to His word over the years.  Not a minute too late, not a minute too soon.   We are looking forward to celebrating Yom Teruah next week and then Sukkot a few weeks later.  Hebron will once again be filled with the sound of shofars, singing and laughter.  Yes, there have been times of weeping and even then He proves Himself merciful and faithful. Hallelu Yah!

Shalom with Messiah

In a few weeks we will begin the next phase of the moed with Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot.  As with every year, we are eagerly anticipating this time with YHVH and the community in the Adelaide Hills.   One thing we say every year is that we long for the day when the wider Messianic community come together at Sukkot to celebrate with praise, feasting and fellowship.  It would seem that the Messianic community is relatively young and scattered in Australia and in the early days we would at times wonder if there was anyone else responding to the call to come out of the Christian church system and return to the ancient paths.  And of course there were and are. It's always so exciting when we meet another person or family who are on the same path and we can rejoice together.  We all have different stories, backgrounds and experiences but the common and binding truth is that YHVH is love and that love is expressed not only in His redemption but in the fullness o...

Pesach 2024 - Treasures in Jars of Clay

As I've been preparing Hebron for the Healing to the Nations family to come together to remember and celebrate YHVH's passover I've been praying that the Ruach haKodesh will prepare our hearts and minds, and reveal more of His truth and ways to us.  Being able to experience community, with all the blessings and challenges that it brings, is a true privilege, and the wisdom of our Father.  Here we have time - time to develop relationships - time to sit around the Word - time to enjoy creation and the night sky - and just as importantly, time for individuals to wander around the property, meditate and commune with YHVH without the busyness of life. Yeshua's eternal covenant is exactly that - an eternal covenant.  Pesach is a covenant of redemption and restoration.  As humankind is prone to do, we can break covenant and add clauses to the covenant of our own making.  It's human nature to want to change the terms and conditions of the covenant, or even wra...

Sukkot 2023 - The Winter is Past...

The voice of my lover.  Behold, He is coming Leaping over the mountains, springing over the hills My lover is like a gazelle or a young buck among the stags Look!  He is standing behind our wall, gazing through the windows Peering through the lattice. In response my lover said to me, "Get yourself up, my darling my pretty one, and come.  Come! For behold, the winter is past, the rain is over, it's gone. Blossoms appear in the land and the time of singing has come...  Song of Songs 2 *   *   * What a blessed time we had over Sukkot here at Hebron.  A few weeks before the start of the festival I was impacted by the understanding that our Creator and Father anticipates meeting with His children more than we anticipate meeting with Him.  His love, His desire to meet with us individually and as a fellowship far surpasses ours, to a degree that it is impossible for us to comprehend.  And meet with Him we did. The moed are His....

Sukkot 2021

Hebron comes alive during Sukkot.   It comes into its own during this moed (appointed time/festival) in particular.  We come together for fellowship, for obedience, for worship and joy. Not everyone is always able to make it to Hebron, but for those who were able, we enjoyed the sukkah - albeit weather dependent. The sukkah (tabernacle) is the central theme of Sukkot and when we obediently observe Sukkot (feast of tabernacles) we are putting our hope in the coming of Yeshua the King, who will raise up the fallen sukkah of David. We don't only look behind us in observing Passover and Shavuot (pentecost), we moreso look forward to the end of this age.  Yeshua is our tikvah (hope) and our reward.  This is the wisdom and joy that YHVH has set into creation itself.  Christmas and Easter do not, and can never, fully testify of the kingdom of YHVH.  The torah and cyclic nature of the moedim (appointed times/festivals) is the perfect map of His redemptive plan...

Unleavened Bread Baptism 2021

On the last day of the Pesach feast three of our community were baptised and it was an absolute cracker of a day. The Bremer River runs through the back of the Pike family's property, Shekem, at Salem and was a perfect setting. It was a fitting end to the week of unleavened bread and such a joy to come together as a community to witness Bonnie, Rob and Sonya being baptised into the name of YHVH. John has previously shared the importance of baptism and his notes are worth reading and then studying the scripture references again: Water baptism is an extremely important part of a persons salvation and there ongoing walk with Y'Hovah as Scripture attests.  I am not saying that everyone has to be re-baptised if baptised by immersion in the Christian Church, but many are baptised wrongly in Christian circles and many a spiritual life is very empty and shows a real Ruach HaKodesh lack in their faith and their walk. So often, to be baptised with a ne...

Pesach 2021

The blessing of coming together to celebrate Pesach and Unleavened Bread at Hebron was only tempered by the fact that not everyone who are part of the Healing to the Nations fellowship could be there.  Those who were unwell or unable to come were deeply missed. I, in particular, thoroughly enjoyed preparing the room and meal with dear friends.  There was a lovely sense of shalom and fellowship over the entire weekend.  As we read scripture, gave thanks, drank the cup and ate the matzah we were keenly aware that this was not only a powerful reminder that Yeshua is the Messiah who came, suffered and defeated death but is more importantly a prophetic declaration that He will come again to rule and reign from Jerusalem.  Hallelu Yah!    Over the years it has become popular in some Messianic fellowships to have a feet washing ritual at Pesach and yes, Yeshua did wash the feet of the disciples and taught them the true nature of leadership - to humbly serv...

Seeking the Fire

I want to be self-indulgent tonight and write of my own longings and prayers, which have been with me since a very young child.  There are times when the Ruach stirs those latent embers in my heart again and tonight is one of them. I have sincerely prayed for revival for our nation and loved ones since primary school in Tasmania.  Joining in with the church's prayer and fasting roster, half nights of prayer and camp meetings was a real delight and I often experienced the weight of YHVH's presence.  These were moments that have held me fast to Him my entire life. As I was washing tonight's dishes the thought "don't throw out the baby with the bathwater" zinged in my spirit and it was related to the thought of the Christian concept of revival.  As we have been led out of Christianity and embracing the fullness of His torah there are many doctrines and concepts that I have put aside.  The trinity, rapture, communion and celebrations have all been scrutinised ...
