Sukkot 2024

The Healing to the Nations fellowship came together to celebrate Sukkot here at Hebron and what a blessed time it was.

It seems that since Sukkot life and work got crazy busy so an update on our time together slipped off the priority list.  But as I reflect back on our time together and what has transpired since then I am again encouraged.

There was a flurry of preparation in the meeting room and sukkah, and Hebron was ready for a big week of fellowship, praise and times with our King and Adonai.

Although there was one big disappointment because I could not locate the flags that we line the driveway with.  Colourful flags will definitely make an appearance for Sukkot 2025 though.

Not everyone was able to come up at Sukkot and they were missed but there is always next year.  Father Yehovah's wisdom in establishing the annual feasts is such a powerful prophetic witness and joy for Messiah's body.

The highlight of Sukkot is always spending time under the sukkah in the morning to go through the scriptures and pray.  This year the weather was perfect so we were able to spend a lot of nights out in the sukkah as well.

Yehovah encouraged and challenged us through the teaching, the praise music and prophetic words.  Australia's time has come.  He has heard the prayers and groans over many, many years and the river of His blessing is about to flood through the land. Hallelu Yah!

Being obedient to His Word and commandments brings joy and shalom into our lives.  Sunday worship gives way to the blessing of Shabbat, Christmas and Easter gives way to the feasts of Yehovah and traditions and doctrines give way to the truth of scripture.  Life then just makes sense.  We no longer have to wonder that there's got to be more than this.  More than just rocking up to a meeting a couple of times a week, more than a belief that when I die I go to heaven and not hell.

The whole book - from Genesis to Revelation - comes together and His plan not just for mankind, but our individual lives, becomes evident, meaningful and wonderful.  Each commandment, each instruction, each feast all are parts of the whole.  The kingdom of Yehovah come and His will being done on earth as it is in heaven.

The body of Messiah is in desperate need of His living water to revive and restore.  There are precious loved ones in the system of Christianity who are saying "there's got to be more than this" and we know that prayer is about to be answered.

So this small fellowship in the Adelaide Hills was greatly blessed this Sukkot and since then Yehovah has opened doors and shared a little of His intentions for our region in Australia.  May His kingdom come and His will be done in us and through us!

Where Your Treasure Is.....

Life has changed for our community and we are now split between two geographic locations - Salem and Mildura - with a few of us coming and going between them.   When the scripture says we are an 'unusual people', that certainly has an added layer for our community!      We are full of anticipation of what YHVH will pour out for the people of Australia, particularly the towns along the Murray River and Victoria.     But coming home to Hebron is always so good for the soul. Open skies - Open spaces   So lovely to see water in the top dam, grass emerging and  paddocks been sown for this year's hay crop.     I have been reflecting more on the truth and freedom of Yeshua's command:   Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth,  where moth and rust destroy,  and where thieves break in and steal.   But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,  where neither moth nor rust destroys,  and whe...

Practical Deeds .... Spiritual Dividends

The practical outworkings of our worship and obedience may look different from one individual to another, one family to another or one fellowship to another.  Here at Hebron it's a matter of looking after the land, stock, home and infrastructure to ensure that things are ticking along as they should in a timely manner; creating a refuge and oasis, now and for the future.  This week the flock were treated to some mineral blocks, which will provide necessary salts and minerals that they need to remain in tip top shape while they're lambing in the summer months.  The smaller top dam is well and truly dry but this would be the perfect time to get the tractor in there and dig it deeper, which would also have the bonus of providing good dirt for the vegie patch.  This dam is not spring fed so having it deeper would provide more water for next summer, provided it fills during the winter months. The vegie patch, or as I prefer to call it at times, the battlefie...

2025 Moedim - Appointed Times

Here in Australia it's spring but in the northern hemisphere the feasts at this time of year are known as the 'fall feasts' - Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot.   Yom Teruah Teaching It's new moon, Yom Teruah and we are anticipating Yom Kippur and the joy of Sukkot.  It's time for shouting, rejoicing, repenting and preparation - all in expectation to meet our King, our Messiah!  We put up banners, decorate our sukkah, fill the fridges and light the fires.   We will rejoice, we will enjoy each other's company but most of all, we know we will bless our Father with our obedience and He in turn will bless us. See you there!
