Maker of the heavens and earth...

Today is the June solstice.  Some will worship the creation, but we worship the Maker of the heavens and the earth: Psalm 146 Praise YHWH!             Praise YHWH, O my soul!        2 I will praise YHWH while I live;             I will sing praises to my Elohim while I have my being.        3 Do not trust in princes,             In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.        4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;             In that very day his thoughts perish.        5 How blessed is he whose help is the Elohim of Jacob,             Whose hope is in YHWH, his Elohim,        6 Who made heaven and earth,             The sea and all that is in them;             Who keeps faith forever;        7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;             Who gives food to the hungry.             YHWH sets the prisoners free.        8 YHWH opens the eyes of the blind;           YHWH raises up those who are bowed down;             YHWH loves the righteous

The earth belongs to YHWH and all in it ...

Whether you're a monarchist or republican, a long weekend to celebrate the Queen's birthday is always appreciated!  I thoroughly enjoyed having family and friends up on Sunday and Monday to enjoy the perfect weather, the Hebron environment and fellowship. Taking in the views as we sat out on the verandah having lunch together was a real treat today.  What a privilege and joy it is to enjoy this property with each other.  Today we moved the flock over to the top paddock and tagged/vaccinated our newest addition.  Unfortunately we lost a lamb last week, despite having the extra alpaca, so the battle against the fox menace continues.  Many hands make light work when it comes to shoring up the fence line against intruders.  Of course very cute pink gumboots gives the working party a touch of panache! Together we made progress to ensure the greenhouse is around for a few more years yet, as well as giving it an overdue tidy up.  Brendan also ripped up the

Welcome Winter

This week we received nearly 40mm of rain and the bottom dam is beginning to fill again.  All the rainwater tanks are full and it seems such a shame that we can't capture the overflow, although it does mean I can have long showers!   The top dam is well on the way to filling and several ducks were visiting before I took this photo.   The flock are all doing well, with two lambs growing fast, although we will have to move them to another paddock soon to allow the grass to regenerate.   May everyone's reservoirs of joy be filled to overflowing this week as we go about our lives, all the while bringing honour to the Messiah, by whose sacrifice we are redeemed.

I've got a lot riding on you ....
