communion [kəˈmjuːnjən]n
Since the wind farm proposal has been made public unsavoury aspects of human nature have been evident in the local community, belying the very word 'community'. Thinly veiled animosity has now given way to emotionally charged name-calling and pettiness as those for and against the proposal clash. Of course as is usual, it's the minority that create the din of discord.
This has made me appreciate the true community and union to be found in the kingdom of our Messiah all the more. Of course we are not immune to pettiness, grandstanding or selfishness, however, we have the Ruach HaKodesh to chasten, guide, mature and knit us together.
I love the pomegranate not only for the gorgeous flowers and fruit, but for the symbolism that scripture reveals to us through it. The priest's robe had embroidered bells and pomegranates around the hem, which to me signifies that love and service, or fruits and gifts, are to be in balance, testifying the nature of Messiah, our great High Priest. Exodus 39:26 ...
that is, bell, pomegranate, bell, pomegranate, all the way around
the hem of the robe for service - as YHVH had ordered Moshe.
And we are reminded in 1Cor 13... I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels; but if I lack love, I have become merely blaring brass, or a cymbal clanging. The temple featured the pomegranate in many areas and each instance is ripe with prophetic significance. This world is filled with noisy gongs, all vying for eminence; intent on building temporal kingdoms that provide platforms for endless pontification. As we come together in true communion individuality gives way to community and in so doing each individuals' needs and desires are met. This is the mystery of love, often expressed imperfectly through our humanity, but wonderfully perfected through Yeshua.
One of the purposes of Hebron is to facilitate the expression of community. Little by little the property is being developed so that it will be able to provide shelter and sustenance in the future time of need.
Today I was able to commandeer a passing council mulching truck and for the cost of a donation to the Mannum Youth Soccor Club was able to have some mulch dropped off, which will come in very handy.
1. an exchange of thoughts, emotions, etc.
2. possession or sharing in common; participation
3. (foll by with) strong emotional or spiritual feelings (for) communion with nature

Unfortunately my little point and shoot camera wasn't able to accurately pick up the mass of bees, butterflies and other nectar seeking insects on the flowers today.
I spent a very pleasant few minutes watching and listening to the intense activity.
May YHVH's shalom rest on all our households.
