Sukkot was a wonderful time of fun, fellowship and friendship. Hebron was filled with the noise of children, chatter, music, motorbikes, dogs and the ding-dong of the mealtime bell. It was busy, it was chaotic and it was marvellous.
We had daily times of scripture and prayer, and weather permitting we sat under the sukkah. It's these times that bring such encouragement on our journey along this narrow road.
Sukkot is a wonderful opportunity to put the busyness of life aside for a while to renew our hope in the coming of Messiah Yeshua and celebrate His lovingkindness and mercy.
What a blessing Hebron is. We had perfect weather for a picnic by the dam and kite flying, and of course the annual cricket match.
And Sukkot at Hebron wouldn't be the same without the Hebron Follies! We were entertained by musical prowess, wit and humour.
During our evenings we chatted through the first few chapters of Romans but we're always up for some good natured competition so quiz nights proved very popular.
During the week we completed a few tasks, had a bonfire and enjoyed Hebron because we had such lovely weather. Surely we are the most blessed of people to have such a property and accommodation where we can come together for Yehovah's festivals.
The name Hebron loosely means to unit, to join, society or friendship and our Hebron facilitates exactly that. The development of community is vital in our Father's plans for the body of Messiah. His Ruach refines us as individuals and knits us together so that His Name and Word is made alive in us and through us.
So thanks everyone for making Sukkot so enjoyable this year. For those who couldn't make it because of sickness and life commitments, you were very missed.
May Yehovah continue to refine us as a community and personally so that we are made ready for that Day when Yeshua comes to reign from Jerusalem.
Bless His mighty and awesome Name!
