Shabbat Shalom!
What a gorgeous full moon it is, heralding in the moed of Sukkot. Shame my camera isn't up to the task, but if you look outside you can appreciate what I'm saying! A touch cloudy and windy, but marvellous nonetheless.
Hebron is ready to welcome the community - the gardens look fabulous (thanks Parkers!), the house is ready, the tanks are full and anticipation is high. What will this week of Sukkot bring I wonder? Much joy, fellowship, laughter and praise I'm sure. Times of scripture, times of prayer, times of praise, times of reflection....times of challenge, times of stone-against-stone, times of frustration maybe, but all of the positives and and all of the challenges are what makes community a blessing.
What wisdom and foresight of our Father and Creator! Personally I much preferred my years of aloneness (is that such a word I wonder?). There were very few challenges against my personality, values and views. There was such peace! True, it was a valued time of change and adjustment in my appreciation of scripture and truth, however, there was a work that was required in me that could only come about through you, the community that Yehovah has placed me in. So for that I thank you in advance for being kind and gracious towards me :) His torah can only be outworked in me through community, not isolation. What a bonus that we get to spend more time together this week and celebrate His kindness and wisdom, and continue to develop community appreciation.
How great is the love and kindness of Yehovah to reveal Himself through these set-apart moedim! May this Sukkot be a blessing to all who gather and all who are unable as we look forward to that great day when the shofar blasts and Yeshua comes again to bring in His kingdom of justice and righteousness.

Shabbat Shalom and God Bless You Annette! What a blessing you found out how to serve God better in the community you're in; may it increase! I've also learned more about myself and the application of Torah from this community at Hebron for which I am very grateful. I've always cherished the hospitality and acceptance I've felt here at Hebron and Sheckem. You've all been a blessing in more ways than one and God is so good to let us have the apportioned times He's allotted to us in this life for good and for growth.
ReplyDeleteOver the years I've learned that the Ruach HaKodesh works out side the box however and there is no one size fits all in the Kingdom. Some have found how to better serve in the wilderness, imprisoned, as a stranger, or enslaved away from their family. Just pointing out obvious that different people and different generations have different tikkuns (repair processes/refinements), but One God, and One Truth; and Repentance is the way the Kingdom has come. Repentance through fear is good, but repentance out of love is the pinnacle we're reaching for. May YHVH Have Mercy on us as we learn to love better.
What a day when our work here is over and we are all one big unified community in Yeshua as HE reigns! Preaching to the choir I know. ☺
See you all later this week! In The Love of Yeshua
