Predispositions

Malachi 4:5 Look, I will send to you Eliyahu the prophet before the  coming of the great and terrible Day of YHVH.   6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the   hearts of the children to their fathers;  otherwise I will come and strike the land with complete destruction."  How kind and gracious is our Father YHVH to give us the opportunity to be drawn back to the ancient paths and allow our hearts to be changed.  I'm no student of eschatology but I can see the times advancing to the day when the feasts will be fulfilled and YHVH ushers in the next age.   We have become new creations in Him and co-heirs of the promise.  May we therefore become predisposed to take on His nature rather than the carnal nature of man; keeping our eyes fixed on the age to come and our hearts filled with His Words of prophetic purpose and hope. At Hebron this week we were all busy com...

All the Rivers Run...

This week has been one of highs and lows.  Unfortunately one of our ewes broke her leg and we had to put her down.  I think she broke it trying to get through a fence so next working bee one of the tasks will be to review the new fencing. The yellow Yamaha is determined not to be kicked to the kerb by the threat of some interlopers so fired up dutifully this week. As the flock were being tempted to jump the low fence we opened the gate to allow them through to the other side.  I have erected the portable electric (minus the electric) fence to prevent them from going down the tree line in front of the house. Thankfully this week also had a high.  All thanks to YHVH, we received 105mm of rain over two days, which I think has been unprecedented in the time we've been here.  Already the native pasture is showing signs of a nice green pick which I'm sure the cows and flock will enjoy.   The breeder we bought Don Pedro from remembers a day ab...

Summer Survival

When the sun beats down and the earth heats up, vigilance is our eagle's eye, all the while humanity for Living Waters cry; Fire trailer ready for action Unexpected flowering in desert climes delight;  Creator and created, testifying of His might. Passionfruit's first flowering  Daily bread and halakha, provisions of His love, maintain an environment for the presence of His dove; Provisioned and maintained workshop  Covenental love and community ties provide, safety and sustenance, where humility revokes pride; Maintenance on the greenhouse and transplanting seedlings  Each living stone integral to the other, Messiah placing in His house, every sister, every brother; Brendan's water tank level sensor  While we wait for the Messiah's return and the age of peace, faithful we'll remain until that great wedding feast. Shalom in Yeshua our Messiah

8th Anniversary Bushfire

On the 16th January we reached the 8 year mark on our Hebron journey.  Fittingly we were also experiencing a week of over 40 degrees, reminiscent of the week we moved in.  Thankfully during this heat wave I got to enjoy the comfort of air conditioning and verandahs!  Unfortunately our area experienced a severe bushfire the next day and many properties suffered greatly.  Praise YHVH we were spared!  The thought of all our hard work going up in smoke and the welfare of our stock were the main incentives for a quick and passionate prayer.  The fire front was approaching our road when a wind change caused it to head down the hill towards Sanderston.  Seeing the flames heading our way certainly got me moving pretty quickly! I was very grateful that Brendan was able to come up as soon as I sent out an SOS, and even more grateful that by the time he got here the fire was heading down the hill.   So what are we creating here in ...

Hot Days

It sure is a hot week and the air conditioner is getting a good work out, so thanks Neal and Trevor for making sure it was ready to go. I'm trialling the Blogger app so hopefully this post works AOK.   I have the dam pump going and I'm a bit paranoid about starting a fire so decided to sit down here to keep on eye on it. There's still water in the top dam so those myriad of tadpoles will have a good chance to fully develop.  What an amazing creature that Bonk-bonk frog is. The pump has now finished so over and out from up here at Hebron. May you all be blessed this week. Shalom

Foundations

Over the last few weeks we have been revisiting the importance of building upon the correct foundations that YHVH outlined through Moses.  These important truths can often be interpreted through our previous experiences, doctrines and beliefs so it's vital that we search the scriptures periodically to refresh and vitalise our understanding.  How kind is our Adoni that He meets us where we're at, draws us into the light of His truth and sets us free to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Last weekend we gathered at Hebron to worship YHVH and share our lives with each other.  How extraordinarily blessed are we to have such sweet company and a fantastic property to enjoy.  Of course that doesn't mean it's all sunshine and lollipops as we have those times when we need to put another before ourselves, to cover a multitude of sins with our love or on the rare occasion, confront an error.  However, these are often the times that the Spirit of YHVH accomplishes a str...

Summer Delights

There's little areas around the house that I just love walking through and this little path to the caper patch is one of them.  Tracks, gates and little hideaways - love 'em!  Don't you find the scriptures are like that too?  There will be little treasures hidden that pop out and surprise you, inviting you to pause and meditate on YHVH. It's always such a delight and surprise to see new growth, even when I'm expecting it!  The capers are doing extremely well and most of the bigger plants are bursting with caper buds and flowers.  We've decided to let this crop grow through to the berries and I'd better get my skates on to find out how to pickle them properly.  I anticipate that next year we will be in proper caper picking mode.  What a resilient and worthy little plant this is :) We like to have a little joke that those with a caper-like nature will do well here at Hebron, but in reality these qualities of resilience and hope are truly one...
