Shalom Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua, our Messiah,  We have just entered the time period given to Israel for the taking of a lamb and keeping it among them for inspection.  From the 10th to the 14th days before the sacrifice and then the eating of this lamb on the Passover meal.  As we look at the Gospels we see how Yeshua rode into Jerusalem as the Lamb in the midst of His people.  For this 4 to 5 days Yeshua remained in Jerusalem under scrutiny, questions and accusations, answering and teaching, but above all demonstrating His PERFECTION, PURPOSE and PRESENCE among them as the Lamb of God taking away the sins of the world. 'I am here to die for your sins this Pesach as your Messiah.' May we also remember all that Yeshua taught, suffered and demonstrated over these days as being for us as well. Exodus 12: 1  Now YHVH  said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,  2 “This month shall be the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year to you. I find it interesting that YHVH said "to you".  Not to the nations around, but to His chosen people, Israel.  This lunar calendar sets apart those who keep His ways and reminds them cyclically and constantly that the Messiah is YHVH's redemptive love to mankind and it is through Him alone that salvation is entered into.  How merciful, how amazing and what wisdom! It's been quite a while since I popped up a post about the happenings here at Hebron so thought it was about time I shared some photos and news, after all, I shouldn't be the only one to enjoy this plot of earth. The summer months can be challenging time as there are more tasks to attend to but it also provides more chances to get to know the property a bit better and watch the growth of the trees. We endured a dry spring so the pasture has been lacking over the summer.  One of the benefits of running a Damara flock of sheep is they excel in dry, harsh environments so they are in good condition.  We sent off a few older ewes as well as a number of young wether lambs to the butcher.  One of the lambs will be for Pesach, which is only a few weeks away. After being away for six weeks it's good to be home at Hebron, enjoying the peace, tranquility and country views.  "Ahh, how's the serenity!"  Figs on Trevor's young tree While I was away I pondered this balance between our spiritual and temporal lives and how being torah observant provides that bridge between the both.   This bridging is like the Dance of the Machanayim.  Song of Songs 6:13  Return, return, Shulammite! Return, return, that we may gaze at you. Lover Why do you desire to gaze at the Shulammite, As at the dance of Machanayim? The dance of the Machanayim, or the dance of the two armies, refers to the meeting Jacob had with angels after making his covenant with Laban.  The meeting of the heavenly and the earthly; the meeting of YHVH and mankind.  This lifestyle can be one of beauty and gracefulness, bringing us in close relationship with our Creator and Messiah and in the future one that will be looked upon with envy....

This weekend we gathered here at Hebron to praise and be encouraged and strengthened.  To spend Shabbat with those you love and are journeying the same path with is an immense blessing and privilege.  I would much rather be with a small number of like-minded people who I know love and support me than be with any number of people who do not journey the ancient paths and only tolerate me.  Although I'm sure even though these precious people do have to tolerate me at times, I know it's done with love and understanding! Spring has been a very dry and hot season this year, being more like summer.  Despite the heat this band of intrepid sojourners completed a few chores the following day. Psalm 111 Halleluyah ! I will wholeheartedly give thanks to  YHVH in the council of the upright and in the assembly. The deeds of  YHVH  are great, greatly desired by all who enjoy them. His work is full of majesty and splendour, and his righteousness continues forever. He has gained renown for his wonders. YHVH is merciful and compassionate. He gives food to those who fear him. He remembers his covenant forever. He shows his people how powerfully he works by giving them the nations as their heritage. The works of his hands are truth and justice; all his precepts can be trusted. It's been an eventful week so it's only appropriate that I share it with you.   We had a windy few days that created some chaos but fear not..... ...we shall rebuild! Honey is referred to throughout scripture as a blessing, provision and wisdom from the Father so it's only appropriate that Hebron should have this symbol of love.   Finding a beekeeper who was willing to part with a hive, or even a new swarm, was proving difficult so I ordered two nuc (junior) hives from a Kangaroo Island beekeeper.  The KI Ligurian bee is a pure Italian breed and has a reputation for being resilient and calm, attributes that all Hebronites should have! We bought two new bee boxes and I'll be transferring them over tomorrow to give them room to produce more bees.  I've had lots of experience working around bees and extracting honey but never worked the hives themselves so this will be quite an education.   Our gum trees are flowering at the mom...
