Genesis 24:63(NASB)
63 Isaac went out to [a]meditate in the field toward evening; and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, camels were coming.
I wonder what Isaac was thinking and doing as he went out to the fields. Was he thinking about the day that had been or was he considering what the future held? Was he conversing with his Creator or was he simply enjoying the stillness that comes with dusk?
A few of us enjoying a meal together |
After the busyness of our time together here at Hebron I enjoy reflecting on our time together and how it has benefited my soul and relationships. It can be easy to just focus on what was physically achieved but it can often be at the expense of what is eternal. This shabbat we looked at Yeshua's teaching on the resurrection and considered how this differed from traditionally held beliefs.
Carol and Trevor keeping their screens company |
Being challenged to search the scriptures and adjust our views and practices provides an opportunity for pruning and returning to the ancient paths. It was also time for the new moon to be recognised and give Yeshua the Messiah honour and thanks. We keep our focus on the day to come when Yeshua will come again to usher in a reign of peace and a time where Torah will go forth from Jerusalem. Even as the rockets rain down in Israel we pray for YHVH's kingdom to come and His will to be done.
We were busy on Sunday attending to the flock and thanks to Trevor's new flock management database we are able to keep a keen eye on their progress.
We were also busy clearing and organising the accumulation of 'stuff' from the front of the big shed so that we can reposition the sheep yard there.
Christina and I planted more trees near the big water tank to provide shade and a wind break in years to come for the sheep yards.
Whatever the future holds we know that YHVH is our provision and our relationships a source of encouragement and support.
May Yeshua, the Light of the world, reveal the truth of His love and redemption in your hearts.
