Swings and Roundabouts

Two newcomers have joined us here at Hebron and the father and son team will help grow the flock. In fact the 3 year old elder leapt out of the trailer and took off to cause mayhem amongst the girls as soon as the gate was opened. The younger one had an initial case of separation anxiety (he was hand raised) but he's blended in well now.

We also had a visit from an intrepid team of tree loppers pruning a couple of our big red gums running under the power line. This fearless trio requested that they access Bidgebar's pines from our middle paddock and my permission came at the cost of a truck load of mulch.

Unfortunately they decided to take the low soggy road along the fence line and promptly got themselves seriously bogged. But never fear, our trusty John Deer went into action and after some slipping and sliding managed to extract them.

This weekend we will be gathering together up here at Hebron on Shabbat. It will also be New Moon on the following day so a pefect weekend to give honour to our Messiah Yeshua and testify of His return to establish the kingdom of YHVH.

Where Your Treasure Is.....

Life has changed for our community and we are now split between two geographic locations - Salem and Mildura - with a few of us coming and going between them. When the scripture says we are an 'unusual people', that certainly has an added layer for our community! We are full of anticipation of what YHVH will pour out for the people of Australia, particularly the towns along the Murray River and Victoria. Practical Deeds .... Spiritual Dividends

The practical outworkings of our worship and obedience may look different from one individual to another, one family to another or one fellowship to another. Here at Hebron it's a matter of looking after the land, stock, home and infrastructure to ensure that things are ticking along as they should in a timely manner; creating a refuge and oasis, now and for the future. This week the flock were treated to some mineral blocks, which will provide necessary salts and minerals that they need to remain in tip top shape while they're lambing in the summer months. The smaller top dam is well and truly dry but this would be the perfect time to get the tractor in there and dig it deeper, which would also have the bonus of providing good dirt for the vegie patch. This dam is not spring fed so having it deeper would provide more water for next summer, provided it fills during the winter months. Reflections

There are times when it's good to look back and reflect on the journey thus far. These moments highlight the provisions of YHVH, the encouragements of community, the lessons learnt and the growth we have experienced.
